Prioritizing equal opportunities and work/leisure balance

“In Germany, Bayer set up a working group on equal opportunities in 1989 to make sure that it offers suitable development opportunities to all employees, irrespective of gender. We are very proud that our proactive policy has earned us the “ Total E-Quality” award for total quality and equality for the second time.”< /span>

Systematic implementation of the equal opportunity principle has now been extended to include people with health problems and to helping employees combine working life with bringing up a family.

Equal opportunities for women
A long-term goal at Bayer is to increase the proportion of female employees, especially in scientific and technology-based jobs. Our efforts are already bearing fruit because everyday we have more women working with us.

Employees with health problems
Bayer’s diversity policy naturally includes offering equal opportunities to people with disabilities and health problems. Bayer works with the relevant authorities to provide solutions that meet the individual needs of these people.
